Accounting-approved payments (RGB):
Accountant-Approved Payments (RGB) is a solution that allows you to approve payments directly within your accounting system — without having to log in to your online bank for secondary approval.
How Does It Work?
Due to the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Act, strict identity verification requirements apply to users who approve payments in an accounting system.
When using RGB, users are asked to verify their identity with BankID (or another form of two-factor authentication) the first time they approve a payment.
Each user must renew their BankID verification every 90 days. You will receive a notification in your accounting system when it’s time to reverify.
Please note that BankID can only be linked to one user in the accounting system.
If you have been assigned a new user account and your BankID is still connected to an old one, please contact Aritma Support to remove the old connection.

Before Activating Accountant-Approved Payments
Make sure you have valid payment authorization rights in your online bank. If not, payments sent to the bank will be rejected with the following errorcode AG08. Contact your bank if you need help adjusting these permissions.

Which banks support RGB?
All Norwegian banks support Accountant-Approved Payments. This is required under the AML Act.
Who can use RGB?
Anyone with a Norwegian BankID can use RGB. Some banks also support foreign users.
Can multiple users approve payments?
Yes, you can have multiple approvers – just like in your online bank.
What does double approval mean?
Double approval means that a payment must be approved both in the accounting system and in the online bank.
How long does it take to activate RGB?
Activation typically takes up to one business day, depending on your bank.
Can I enable or disable RGB whenever I want?
Yes, in most banks Aritma can help you activate or deactivate RGB. For DNB and Nordea, you'll need to contact the bank directly to make changes or set up a new agreement.
Can I approve payments in both the ERP system and the online bank?
Yes. Aritma supports both methods, but make sure to approve payments in your accounting system first.
